Resizing start button area

The area in the taskbar of the start button cannot be enlarged, unlike the
quick launch toolbar that I can resize.
Is there a way to resize also the start button area?
Thanks.
Giovanni

Re: Resizing start button area

Right click the Taskbar, select Unlock the Taskbar, click and drag the Taskbar
up to whatever size you want. As far as I know, there is no way to enlarge the
Start Orb.

Thanks. But I thought that it were possible to enlarge (in the horizontal
direction) the start button area.

Re: Resizing start button area

How would you enlarge it any further since it goes from one edge of the screen
to the other? You can reduce the area of the Quick Launch toolbar and the
Notification Area, and not show the time and date, but you want to extend the
Taskbar off the screen?

Not to enlarge all the taskbar, of course, but only the start area,
restricting consequentely the other areas (quick launch, etc.).
Thanks.
