| | Disk Defragmenter Is it possible to have disk defragmenter run on one particular drive and not another. It seems when I go to the properties tab of one drive and set it to off, it does that for the other drive... why?? |

You either need the command line defrag of download a preparatory defrag application . I agree the the Vista fixed one is not good, XP one was flexible. -- Ian |

| | Re: Disk Defragmenter As far as I know the auto defrag defragments all drives. You can stop auto defrag from running, but, as far as I know, you can't change which drives it defragments - other than using the command prompt to defrag, then you have control over what drive(s) is defragmented. -- John Barnett MVP Associate Expert Windows - Shell/User Web: http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org Web: http://vistasupport.mvps.org The information in this mail/post is supplied "as is".
