winsock reset command

Can somebody please tell me what is the winsock reset command for windows
vista. I´ve tried typing "netsh" and subsequently "winsock reset" but it does
not work. I need the step by step explanation. Thanks.

Re: winsock reset command

I'm not sure how you're applying it Claud, (I know it's often used to remedy
a firewall error and often after spyware has screwed the firewall up), but
you may want to look at:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/937168/en-us

The command for Vista is Netsh Winsock Reset. You can also use this Winsock
Repair Tool (Should Work for Vista):

http://www.snapfiles.com/get/winsockxpfix.html

If you want to see all the switches, just type "netsh /?" (lose quotes) at
an elevated command prompt.

This also should apply to Vista:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Also for reference:
