Well, if I'm a Wintard, you're a Lintard! I agree with the car analogy but
my point is IF Linux takes over Windows, it will take 10+ years for that to
happen, just because Microsoft is so huge. You won't get millions of people
switching that fast. Just doesn't happen. Look how long it took the
American people to figure out that Japanese cars are better. It's been 25+
years and they are finally there.

Most people know less about their OS than their cars so I think it will take
longer. When people buy PC's at BestBuy, Circuit City, etc...., they have
no idea that there are other choices. Those type of people don't visit
windows.vista.general. They haven't got a clue.

I never said that your average US citizen will wake up quickly. I think
Linux will first be wide spread in Europe where most people do not buy
their computers with an OS preinstalled from a place like BestBuy and
buy white boxes that the computer chains tailor make for their customers.
