YouTube consistently crashes Vista

Does anyone have the experience of YouTube videos crashing Vista? Less than
one minute into viewing YouTube content, the blue screen, cache dump, etc.
Not that YouTube is that important to me but a solution would be welcome.

Did you go back and try again. You may have run low on memory. What RAM do
you have?

Re: YouTube consistently crashes Vista

Just for kicks, try installing firefox and see if it does the same thing.
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
If it does the same thing, I guess it's a software problem, windows related.
If it doesn't do the same thing, I guess it's IE.
Try this also, create another account on the machine and see if the same
thing happens.
If it doesn't happen, maybe something is corrupted with your account.

Doesn't crash at all here on this machine with Vista Business or my laptop
with Vista ultimate.

I'd say to reinstall your WMP11. It may well be corrupted.

Re: YouTube consistently crashes Vista

I believe that YouTube uses Adobe Flash Player for playing it's videos. The OP
may have a bad installation of Flash. There is a removal tool at Adobe's site.
The OP should remove the old Flash installation, and then try a reinstall.
