| | Product key Vista won't activate. Invalid product key. Key already in use tryed phone got put through to somebody in costumer support & all I got was told too come here & ask or pay a fee for tech support. Payed for product not paying again. NOT HAPPY. |

All anyone here can do is tell you to call that number again and follow the instructions or wait for a customer (lack of) service representative. When you say it won't activate I guess we assume it's a new install of Vista or have you just put new hardware in the machine? (Or did it just happen)? For what it's worth a LOT of people are not happy about the way this is being done and it is going to cost Microsoft amount of money that you and I couldn't count in a lifetime, but I guess they are slow learners. It is doing so well at preventing piracy they just cut the price of Vista in halp in China ![]() So, you have my sympathy but all I can tell you is that if it won't activate online you HAVE to go through the phone system. |

| | Re: Product key What are the details that led to the activation? Is this key in use on any other computers? You can only install on one computer with a single license. If you have removed it from one computer and installed on another or need to activate again on the same computer, call back the activation number.
