Vista Premium reporting invalid code

When i installed Vista Home Premium it reported that the code (the one on
the box) i entered was invalid

It still let me install it ????

I've tried entering the code several times since install and it still says
it's invalid

Is this common problem or have i got illegal copy?

Re: Vista Premium reporting invalid code

Does it say it's invalid, or in use?

Re: Vista Premium reporting invalid code

it says 'The product key you have entered does not appear to be a valid
Windows Vista product key

Please check your product key and type it again"

Re: Vista Premium reporting invalid code

That is a common type of error.
Quite often what you see, or see incorrectly as in this case, you will
continue to see.
That is why I suggest having someone else try.
But you beat it on your own.
