| | shared internet connection on XP Pro Hi... I've got 2 laptops. One is running xp pro in portuguese and the other is running vista ultimate in english... I have the two laptops connected directly to each other via a "crossed cabled". Previously when I had the same scenario but both machines running xp pro, I was able to access both machines and use a shared internet connection... Since I bought this new laptop with vista, I haven't been so lucky... I can access the machines and share files, etc... When it comes to internet the story is a bit different... On the vista machine I can pick up the residential gateway, I can connect and disconnect the device, but I've got no access.... Please help!!!!!!! |

| | Re: shared internet connection on XP Pro Thanks for the suggestion ![]() My problem is that I'm accessing the net via a 3g PCMCIA data card... Which happens to be connected to my "older" laptop... The new one doesn't support these cards... If you have anymore suggestions.... I would really appreciate them.... I desperately need to connect my new laptop... Thank you "Ian Betts" wrote: > > > "micks" <micks@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:E082E769-98F4-47AB-9418-DE08A39B19A9@microsoft.com... > > Hi... > > I've got 2 laptops.
