Dunno..

You can use VNC, (I use TightVNC) or LogMeIn.

Hi,

It was a business decision to include RD hosting only in Business and
Ultimate. Home Premium is meant for a stand-alone machine in the user's
(guess what?) home. You cannot use HP as an RD host, but there are third
party tools that will do this.

Vista Home Premium does not have the advanced networking that the
professional editions have, as it is a consumer home version, just like XP
Home Edition.

You could use a version of VNC instead. I recommend UltraVNC. It's free.

There are other programs, but one that I find very useful as well is
TeamViewer. It's very easy for me to show friends how to get it running on
their machine when they want me to connect to them to sort their machine
out. It's much simpler to configure than VNC. This is free too, for
personal use.

You could also look into doing the Vista Anytime Upgrade to upgrade to Vista
Ultimate, which would allow you to keep all the media related functions of
Home Premium AND get the advanced networking features of Business(i.e. RDP).
You would also gain BitLocker drive encryption. I think it is in the $180
range, so it's not cheap, but it is worth it if you are a power user.

As others have responded... Vista Home <Basic/Premium> follows the XP
convention of providing RDC... in XP, Home did not offer the ability to act
as an RDC host, only Pro and MCE (based on Pro) offered that.

And... as others have responded... VNC works and it's free.
