Vista Flickering

I just bought this computer about a month ago and for some reason, My Windows
Vista keeps flickering whenever it wakes up from hibernating. Not only that
sometimes I even have to restart my system. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you have a loose video card. Take the computer back.

Er, and why does the video card only decide to become loose after
hibernation?

There are some systems that are having problems with resuming from
hibernation or stand-by, mine main system included. I have an Asus P5W DH
Deluxe motherboard, and it is a common problem with this model, as well as
many others.

Try updating your BIOS to the latest version, as this may fix it. If it
does not, you will have to wait for MS or your motherboard manufacturer to
sort these hibernation/stand-by resuming issues out, like me.

Re: Vista Flickering

Take the computer back? What if he purchased it online? If the video card
is loose, he can open the case and see if it's lose. Takes 5 minutes.
That most likely isn't the problem. Check the power options in the control
panel.

PS. Try looking up your motherboard model in Google, like this:

PPS. Also, make sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card.

Sounds like my ex-wife. Sleep for 24 hours, wake up and want to shag.
