| | Unable to open a .doc Hi I've been trying to open a file from the NHS public website which ends .doc (says the type is doc_auto_file) without success. When I click to open or save a message comes up saying "Internet Explorer wants to open web content - NAME - Windows Wordpad Application / Publisher - Microsoft Windows" & get to choice to allow or not allow. When I click on "allow" all that comes up in the document is a random selection of letters/numbers/symbols. Can anyone please advise on a way round this on vista (without resulting to getting rid of it!!) - I have Microsoft Office Word 2007 already installed on my computer as thought that would enable to open these documents. Hope someone can help |
