What is causing Host Services Stopped error message? Not update

I am getting the error message but my startup error message isn't the update
message, it just says Trend Micro couldn't update. Also, periodically, my new
computer completely drops my printer and everything associated with it and
can't even find the printer (wireless and right next to the computer). I have
to reinstall the computer software (huge) to use the printer. I don't know if
these two are related. Also, it is not letting me backup my files onto my
external harddrive. Lastly, my computer boots up a ton of programs not listed
in startup that I'd like to delete but can't. Any suggestions on any of this?

This might help:

The host process for Windows Services stops working after you download
Microsoft updates on a computer that is running Windows Vista

Yes, if the host process for Windows Services isn't working, it can affect a
whole lot of different things that depend on it.

As to your ton of programs, try this:

Trend Micro is your Virus protector and its trying to go online before your
connection is made at start up.

Your printer sharing on the computer that has the printer attached may need
looking at.

Use the Programs and Features dialog from your Control Panel to look at
loaded programs. Right click each one in the list to alter in the drop menu.
