| | Windows Movie Maker I am having trouble getting transitions between my pics on the storyboard. Some I can drag and drop, some I can copy and paste. But sometimes I can't get anything to go in the little box between pics. It doesn't even give me the choice to paste. Why do some of the spaces "refuse" to accept a transition??? It's driving me crazy!!! -- Deltapdawn |

It's driving me crazy!!! Movie Maker is basically a toy. The trick (if you use timeline view) is to hover between pictures and keep holding down your left mouse button then wait till you see the blue vertical line appear between pictures then and only then let go of whatever transition you're trying to drop. In storyboard view the target area is so big I don't see how you can miss it. I just tried the first ten doing this and they all worked fine for me. If you still have trouble say which ones aren't working for you and I'll try those. |

| | Re: Windows Movie Maker Thanks for your response. I see the blue lines alright, but out of 11 pictures I have so far, the transition boxes 3, 6 and 8 are not working at all. I haven't had any problem with the others at all. I've tried every "trick" I can think of to try and fool it, but I can't see to get those specific boxes to take any transitions. -- Deltapdawn "Adam Albright" wrote: > On Sun, 5 Aug 2007 19:18:03 -0700, Deltapdawn > <Deltapdawn@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: > > >I am having trouble getting transitions between my pics on the storyboard. > >Some I can drag and drop, some I can copy and paste. | | Re: Windows Movie Maker I often use the method of right clicking on the transition (in the transition list) and choosing "Add to Timeline" or "Add to Storyboard". The transition will be placed where the green play indicator is on the Timeline, or on the transition box you selected.
