| | possible corrupt user profile i have this problem with downloading, it seems when i download anything, and i mean anything, it downloads , then dissappears, gone as if it , well it's not saving files anywhere. trust me. i have been talking to micrsoft support and after 7 hours of doing whatever, all they could come up with was to create another user profile. everything works fine, but that doesn't solve the issue. anyone with any knowledge, would you help me fix this. |

It looks like you have some registry corruption in user hive file. There is nothing that you can realistically do about it. You could migrate all your settings to your new profile. They are kept in C:\User\USERNAME\Appdata\. This is a hidden folder, and only take folders within those three contained folders that you know you need to move over. If you do not know what you are doing it is better to leave them there. Make sure that you shut down your computer properly to avoid corrupting your user profile again. ss. |
