Regedit does work in safe mode as I previously stated and I already
have UAC off.

Re: Registry Corrupted?

Hi,
I had the same problem with an entry for my HP scanner 4570c which i could
not delelte.
The following did do it.
http://download.sysinternals.com/Files/PsTools.zip
Extract only: psexec.exe & pdh.dll (if possible under C:\ root!).
PS: i had to download it within the usermap/account...

Push the Start button and look for : CMD.exe and run it as ADmin

Typ : psexec -s -i c:\windows\regedit.exe
Hereafter you can delete any key

If you do not want to perform that one did you try to use a system restore
just before the problem took place.
A good custom is before you do any install is to make a manual system
restore point so you can step back on anytime.

regards
Huib
