i386

Hello,

I have been using Windows Vista Ultimate on a Dell XPS 600 SLI for the past
three months. I had minor software/driver problems, majority of which have
been sorted out. I did an upgrade from my Windows XP. I still have the
Windows XP i386 folder on my C drive. Is it safe to delete this folder.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Joebugs

This drectory would contains the files needed to install XP.

If your Vista upgrade is running okay and you don't plan to use XP again,
you can safely delete this directory.

If you didn't get an XP installation DVD with your Dell, it might be worth
making a copy of this i386 directory to CD-ROM or other backup location;
just in case you ever need to re-install XP for any reason. But you don't
need it for your current Vista.

Hope it helps,
