| | simple search Is there a way to do a plain simple search for a string in the files contained in a folder and in the files in its subfolders? I just want to search for a string like "whatever" starting from a folder, and I want to search for its presence in the the files content. I do not want to go through a series of refined searches, with helpers, wizards, filter and whatnot, I just want to do a search for content in files. Plain, simple. Can you do that in Vista and how? ohhh this is sooo frustrating :-) |

Depending on the UAC and other settings, you may have to do some setup in order to search all the files/folders you are interested in. - Paul Randall |

Right click on the folder you want and go from there. Beats Windows search hands down. On Vista 64-bit it didn't show up in the context menu but for Vista 32-bit it did and worked just like in XP. http://www.mythicsoft.com/agentransack/ -dep- |
