| Guest | Re: BCEDIT Hi Ron, Bcdedit requires elevated privilege, and simply logging on to an admin account is insufficient. This is by design (not dissimilar at all from Linux's root privileges). Click start and type CMD, right click the start menu entry that appears and choose 'run as administrator' to get the proper level of privileges to run bcdedit. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "rcicotte" <rcicotte@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:F36BB675-CD6B-460B-8736-BB07AF690708@microsoft.com... >I am logging in with my admin account but when I try to use bcedit I get >the > access denied error message.
