I had to find a system restore point that fixed the problem. It thus still remains a mystery why the recycle bin suddenly stopped refreshing automatically. Marco |

It sometimes is caused when the Recycle Bin is accidently deleted. However in your case, it could of been some incompatible program that may have caused it. Do you remember if you installed or changed anything right before this happened? With Vista, it could be a number of things that can affect the refreshing. Wish I had a more specific answer for you.
