| | temporary internet files I wanted to look at the stuff in temporary internet files so I went to Internet Options, Temporary Internet Files and History Settings, and poked "show files" and it displayed a little more than a screenful of files. None of them had a remote URL, they all appeared to be from my local hard disk. I brought up the properties dialog for the directory -- it was in something like C:\users\<userid>\appdata\local\microsoft\windows -- and it said there was over 100 meg of files in the directory, but the files it was showing added up to less than 100K. So there are plenty of downloaded files in the directory, it just isn't showing them. I opened Folder Options and told it to display protected operating system files, but that didn't help. With XP and IE6, the "show files" button showed all the files downloaded from the internet. Is there some way to get Vista to display these files? Thanks, Gabriela |

| | Re: temporary internet files Thanks for the info. The essential element is the directory "Low" inside Temporary Internet Files. I noticed in the Cookies directory, all the cookies are actually in the Low subdirectory. Weirdly, though, on my computer, there is no Low subdirectory in Temporary Internet Files. I even closed all my IE windows and disabled protected mode, but that didn't bring Low to life. Have you heard anything about Low sometimes going missing? | | Re: temporary internet files In Run, Copy and Paste this: %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5 Click OK. Also, try here: %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Low\Content.IE5 "Gabriela Mendosa" <allthespam@intheworld.com> wrote in message news:OiQGBtl2HHA.464@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > Thanks for the info. > > The essential element is the directory "Low" inside Temporary Internet > Files.
