Re: IIS in windows Vista

This link shows what each version of Vista supports in regard to IIS7

http://www.iis.net/articles/view.asp...ditions?Page=2

You can install IIS using the following steps: (depending on your version of Vista)

1.. Open the Programs option by clicking Start | Control Panel | Programs.
2.. Under Programs and Features, click Turn Windows features on or off.
3.. Click Internet Information Services.
4.. Click OK.

Hi Sergio

Sure! Vista includes IIS.

Go to Control Panel, Programs, Turn Windows Features On or Off. When the
"Windows Features" dialogue box appears, check the options under "Internet
Information Services". Click OK. And you're in business.

If you are using tools like SQL Server Reporting Services, they may expect
the IIS 6 Compatibility options to be included.

Also note that Vista Home edition does not support Windows Authentication.
But Basic Authentication etc are all there.

Hope it helps,

Good call, it took me some time to figure that one out.
