vista 64 bit help

i recently bought vista home premium oem.
i never considered the problems

origionally it would load to a nice screen whcih contained the background
for language selection but nothing else.
i searched around and it said disconnect anything luike usb (i did apart
from my keyboard and mouse).

eventually i disconnected my 80Gb Hdd containing xp and the second one for
storage leaving my 500Gig sata drive which i wanted to install on.

it got to installing but got lost at drivers.
i dotn know what to do im half tempted to buy a 32 bit version just to be
peaceful but its money i dont want to spend if i can help it
any help as to how to solve my driver problem and how long it takes to load
would be greatly appreciated

Re: vista 64 bit help

If you are talking about SATA, you can find the drivers on the motherboard
or chipset site. There is a place on the screen to select the location to
install where the drivers are required.
It takes between 25-45 minutes to install, depending on how fast your
machine is. Make sure you have the drivers you need for all the hardware
you intend to hook up, including internal and external, plus make sure your
programs are compatible, especially if they have drivers (such as backup and
anti-virus and print)
