Magnifier (Vista)

I want to deactivate Magnifier. I don't want it to open at all, but I can't
find a way to do it. I would surely appreciate a helping hand.

Hi Silvercat,

Take a look at this and follow the same instructions, but uncheck "Turn on Magnifier" instead. It should do the trick for you.

Re: Magnifier (Vista)

If you have a mouse sporting extra buttons, the 'front' button of the
pairing will be set up to start Magnifier.. go to Mouse Properties in
Control Panel and reset the button to another less annoying function..

Or, now you know how to turn Magnifier on and off, you can leave things the
way they are..

Re: Magnifier (Vista)

Thanks Mike.

Before I received your reply, I discovered in "Ease of Access" on the
Control Panel (when not using the Classic View) that the Magnifier box can
be unchecked and it goes away.

Thanks for your input.

Re: Magnifier (Vista)

Hi Mike.

Thanks for the mouse tip. I was pulling what remains of my hair out trying
to figure out how Magnifier seemed to be launching of it's own volition.
