Works Calendar 7.0 to Windows Calendar

I recently upgraded to the Vista OS from Windows XP. I used Microsoft Works
Calendar 7.0 when I had XP. Now I would like to import my calendar file from
the older Works into a calendar that is available to me on Vista. I have
tried to import the .vcs file in to the Works 8.5 calendar, but none of the
appoinments appear. Reminders will pop up from the old calendar but the
objects are not shown in the calendar. What most I do to fully recover my
calendar?
All help is much appreciated.
Dave.

Re: Works Calendar 7.0 to Windows Calendar

As far as I'm aware the export options in Works Calendar does not support
what Windows Calendar can import which .ics. I'm afraid you might just have
continue using Works which is at version 8.5. You could probably Export the
Works Calendar to Microsoft Office Outlook as a text file then import it as
an Outlook Calendar (.ics format) into Windows Calendar.

Tip here: Export Outlook Calendar to use in Vista

Its really strange Microsoft never decided to make this easy.

Re: Works Calendar 7.0 to Windows Calendar

Thanks for the answer on not being able to export Works calendar to Windows
Calendar. I realized that my Works Calendar 7.0 data was imported somewhere
on the new Vista computer. By clicking import this data transfered into Works
Calendar 8.5 I now have my full calendar back in Works which is ok for
what I need. Your info sent me on the right track.
