HI,
I'm running Vista home.
I'm working in a folder called "myfolder" which in the "Program Files"
folder. I'm working in Access 2000 and trying to convert my Access file to a
".mde" file. When converting the program wants the name of a directory to
save the new file in. I select "Program Files/myfolder". The program
reacts the same has it always did on my old computer, but when I check the
..mde file is not listed. When I try to make the .mde again the program asks
for the directory name and when I select the same folder it shows that the
..mde file is there. Why does it not show in explorer.
Also, if I select a folder under my user name the file does appear. Why
can't I see the file in the "Program files/myfolder" folder? I have admin
rights. I need to work in the "Program files/myfolder" to create a runtime
version of my db file.
I hate to say this but VISTA is a pain in the butt!!!!!!!!!!! I have a
single user computer and I get tired of giving approval for many of the
things I do. Where is my Windows 98?????
Thanks,
