informing me that avg is turned off , yet according to every thing else it
appears to be on. it seems to update itself ok too. why is it doing this,

Re: AVG turned off?

If the Windows Security Center is complaining about finding no
anti-virus protection at all, then maybe it just doesn't recognize AVG
and you need to tell it to not monitor anti-virus protection.

Re: AVG turned off?

Then I agree with the other posters' replies: uninstall AVG, reboot,
then reinstall AVG.

Re: AVG turned off?

Stupid,

Do you want me to continually unistall and and reinstall. I would rather shoot myself. Every time I update Windows I will be wondering if its an update or something that is turning windows security wonky. The problem is in Vista, not avg. I have yet to find a good answer, other than switching to Avast. Sounds like a conspiracy to me.
