Access denied Application Data, Cookies Pictures, etc in Windows E

Why is access denied to Application Data, Pictures, Cookies, Documents and
Settings, etc. via Windows Explorer? I am the Administrator and only user.

I searched farther and found some older similar posts and got the answer.
Please ignore this post.

You should be able to open "Documents", and "Pictures", if they are folders
under your account name.

"Application Data", "My Documents", "My Pictures" & "Documents and
Settings"
are no longer folders, but are junction points, used by Vista to accommodate
older programs which install to or use those folders. Leave them alone.

Hi Pjbealer,

These are protected system files called "Junction Points" used for backwards compatibility. You can read more on it here. Click "Junction Points and Backup Applications" under Contents.
