Re: unistalling yahoo toolbar

Did you look in Control Panel, Programs and Features and delete it
there?

It might have come along with another application. For instance, I've
seen it as part of HP's preinstalled garbage (some sort of HP Total Care
Advisor or HP Desktop Search thing - sorry, can't quite remember the
exact name now) on a lot of new HP laptops.

Re: unistalling yahoo toolbar

Hi,
On the right sit of the toolbar you see an Icon "Extra", click on it and
look toolbar ...hereafter you can disable the Google toolbar.

Lucinda, check the following Knowledge Base article and see if that helps
resolve the issue:

Re: unistalling yahoo toolbar

hi everyone, thanks again to all who are trying to help, unfortunatley nothing
has worked, i dont think it came with anther application because i installed
it not too long ago, as for the site you (michael solomon) gave me it says to
find the edit button (it appears as a pencil) i dont have any such button and
it says to expand the companion bar if i dont see the edit button but i cant
see how to expand it either! maybe im beyond help but i have tried to follow
all the directions given but that darn toolbar persists! I guess IF it did
come with another application it cant be erased?

You might try downloading and installing again on top of current
installation. Maybe it will then appear in "programs and features" and you
can remove it from there.

Lucinda, if it appeared relatively recently, you might try using System
Restore to take you back to a time prior to when it was installed. Start
Menu\Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Restore. While System Restore
is meant to restore system settings and registry to a specific point in
time, as a precaution your data should always be well backed up.

Are you sure you didn't install adobe flash reader because it comes with the
toolbar unless you tell it not to
