Advanced startup options F8

I know to get to Advanced startup options , I am suppose to press F8.
The only problem is, F8 does not show up on the boot screen like F2
for setuo and F12 for boot options. Yes, I am the administrator. Any
ideas?

Thanks.

Those are options that you see during POST (Power On Self Test) and have
nothing to do with Windows, and are part of the BIOS. The F8 for Advanced
Startup Options comes into play moments afterwards, when Windows starts to
load. Just keep on hitting F8 and you will get there.

Nope, it won't show up. Just tap the F8 key before Windows starts up and
you should be all set. It may take several taps until you learn when to do
it - each computer is just a little different on timing.

Thanks, I don't know what made me think that it was on the menu. I
guess I just had to hit the hell out of that F8 key!

Re: Advanced startup options F8

Thanks, got it going. Forgot about beating the key to death to get the
menu.
