All Adobe products open file dialog configuration

As far as I can figure out this is only in my Adobe apps (CS3)...
When I choose File/Open is there a way to customize what displays down the
left side in the gray? I thought at one time I saw an option to use Vista or
Adobe's interface but I'm not finding it now. I find it VERY annoying that
the icons that display do NOT include the Documents folder. So if I can't
switch to Vista's interface is there a way to customize what icons are
displayed?
Currently displayed:
Recent
Desktop
User
Computer
Network
So I have to hit user/documents to get there. Seems lame to me. Hopefully
I'm just missing something simple.

Thanks,
Sheila
