Vista - Hotmail picture attachment windows vista

In vista, when I want to attach a picture to an email, i go to pictures,
click the picture I want to email, click email at the top of the page. A
small box comes up and asks me which size i want the attachment, then says
attaching....
Then a sign in box appears for my hotmail account and takes me to new message.
In the body of the email it says 'This email is ready to be sent with the
following attachments......
BUT when I check the attachments box below nothing is actually attached, Im
very confused, used to work just fine in XP, the only way is to attach as a
file but then its HUGE. Can anyone help me.
