| | RE: can not find file Which browser are you using, (IE7, Firefox, etc.) IE7 downloads to the desktop or your selected download folder and in Firefox you can designate which folder you wish to down load to. A suggestion which I use is : Create a new folder named 'Downloads" in the "Documents" folder and direct your browser to download to that folder, you can create a shortcut on the desktop to the "Download" folder-- Normally when you download, the download box appears and ask what you want to do with the download, install or save, at the bottom of the box it indicates where the file is downloaded to. Regards Bob J If advise given from anyone, solves problem or not, or if solved from another source, post back & let us know. Then we all benefit. | | RE: can not find file If a "search" does not bring up the download, try and download a check what happens when the download box appears and take particular note where it says it is downloading to. What are you trying to download and from which site? Have you got another browser installed that you can try. -- Regards Bob J If advise given from anyone, solves problem or not, or if solved from another source, post back & let us know. If not, right click the Desktop and choose to view icons. You can also try navigating to the Desktop in an Explorer windows using the breadcrumb address bar and see if your file appears there. ss. |

| | RE: can not find file i have no other browser, it is a anti virus from download.com, i have got this program from here many times with no problem. when it finished the download box just goes, i have unticked the box so it should stay to allow you to open the file or folder but that does not happen, i could try and install firefox do you think that would work?
