| | Windows Media Player 11 will not display Hello. I cannot get my Media Player to open. I have tried to re-install but the MS web site keeps telling me that my version is newer, and cannot be replaced or repaired with an older version. I am thinking, "DUH!" So, now it tells me that the file wmploc.dll has a version number of 11.0.6000.6336 where 11.0.6000.6324 was expected. It then says that Windows Media Player was not installed correctly and needs to be reinstalled. Well, duh again because I already tried that, but my Media Player is integrated into Vista and there is no way it can be re-installed. I already tried to re-install the operating system, but no luck. HELP!!! Dell's suggestion was to retore the system, but the system is not even 4 months old. Why should have to restore it every other week to get the media player to work? I have restored several times, and that fixed it, but only temporarily. Now it won't open at all. Thanks in advance for any response. |
