Re: Critical update KB110806

Where are you seeing this? Are you sure you are copying the right number?

Any update for Vista will have a KB number in the 900000 range.

Re: Critical update KB110806

This was copied directly from the dialog about the update. I have to assume
it is an update for Vista and not another MS product because it states it is
a hotfix for windows. You've got me worried now, I will look into this more.
Thanks,
ETG

You still haven't said where you are seeing this? Is this what you are
seeing in the Control Panel\Windows Update page? Are you viewing the Update
History?

Are you seeing this in Control Panel/Programs and Features showing the
installed Udates?

Have you received an Email from Microsoft with links or attachments for an
update recently?

Re: Critical update KB110806

I see it both in Control Panel/Programs and Features showing the
installed Udates and after the update ran (and no I never clicked on an
email link) I found it in Control Panel/Windows Update/View update history.
When I double click on the update it gives me the dialog I cut and pasted to
the previous posts.
Thanks,
ETG

Re: Critical update KB110806

ETGwebs

I have no idea where these 2 updates came from? There is no reference to
these KB numbers on the Microsoft website?

Re: Critical update KB110806

I am running Vista 64-bit English, brand new install (only two hours old) and my update settings are to download but notify... NOT install. Yet, while installing Visual Studio, Windows Update pops up saying I need to reboot for my updates to take affect. I never told it to install anything. The DVD I installed from was fresh out of the envelope from Microsoft World Fullfillment and it is Enterprise Volume. I am seeing the same update as above:

Installation status: Successful
Update type: Important
Fix for KB110806

This was copied from the Windows Update History screen. Anyone have any answers on this?

Re: Critical update KB110806

Well, after a couple minutes of looking... I believe it is an update for Visual Studio 2008 or .NET 3.5 relating to WPF. I also believe the Visual Studio installer is what installed it on me. This is just a guess based on this web page:
