| | installation error codes have been trying to download Adobe Reader 8.1. after each download, installation has to be aborted as a result of Error 1406 which states 'Could not write value Installed to key \SOFTWARE\Microsoft|Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\OptionalComponents\MSFS. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your access personnel' am using Vista Home Premium for the first time. what am I doing wrong? can anyone help with this? this did not happen with XP -- john b |
