| | Admin with restricted rights I turned on UAC and am ad admin on my box. I open Windows Explorer and try to browse drives. I get an Access Denied popup when doing this. Why is an admin restricted? |

| | Re: Admin with restricted rights Hi, It's not UAC, it's permissions. An admin account does not have sufficient privileges to access system folders unless elevation is specifically invoked. You should be able to browse folders within your user environment, but nothing in any folder with a system attribute. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "brett" <account@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:1188428362.734803.103330@xxxxxx Quote: >I turned on UAC and am ad admin on my box.
