Translucent Window borders - disabled when maximized?

The see-through/translucent window borders seem to work fine, except when a
window is maximized. As far as I can tell, this is with all programs. Is
there some fix for this? Also, is it just mine doing this?

I also complained about this. MS supposedly did it this way so users
wouldn't suffer eye strain. Like all the white on pages won't do it? Compared
to XP it really sucks. MS take note: Have any windowed application on the
desktop in aeroglass. Then turn aeroglass off. This is the effect want I want
for my title bar, not the ugly title bar displayed.

I think you have too many programmers working in the dark!

I don't have a problem with the title bar being black when it is maximized. If that were the only thing to complain about, then I would say that Vista is doing rather good. I have been running Vista Beta 2 now for a couple of weeks and I am pleased with it.

Re: Translucent Window borders - disabled when maximized?

I don't have any problem with the Aero being deactivated when maximized. In fact is suposed that if I maximize a window is becouse I only want to see that window and I don't want to care about the other windows behind. Also I'm sure they made this to improve speed on the display.

Maybe the black borders design has to be improved. But I don't miss transparencies on maximized windows. When maximized and need to see other windows you have lots of options like taskbar thumbnails, flip 3D, or Alt+tab.

Regards,
Angel.
