Continous PC Speaker Beep On Resuming S3 Sleep

Windows Vista 64 bit
ATI Radeon X1600XT (ATI Driver)
Intel Core 2 6300
Gigabyte P965-S3 (F12)
PC6400 DDR2 RAM 1G X 4

Since I have reinstalled and installed some apps, when I resume on S3
sleep, the PC speaker continously beeps and won't start. What could be
the problem? Thank you.

Hello Cat,

If you mean continuous single beeps, ie beep..beep..beep..., that could be
overheating. Can you hear your cpu fan spin up after resuming from sleep
mode?

Re: Continous PC Speaker Beep On Resuming S3 Sleep

Thank you.
But I'm quite sure it's not overheating. Because I put my computer
into sleep at night,
and turn it on on the morning, it always happens. Reset doesn't solve
this. I have to
pull the plug off, and then reconnect it then it boots up fine.
Maybe I have to reinstall Windows.

Re: Continous PC Speaker Beep On Resuming S3 Sleep

Easiest way to figure it out is to get in touch with your PC manufacturer and ask them for their beep code. That code will tell you depending on the sequence of the beeps what or where the issue resides
