    Has anyone been woke up at 2:30 in the morning from this anti-virus software
    though your computer speakers?

    No. If you go into avast settings/sounds, you can disable all sounds, or
    use advanced and just disable automatic update sounds, which is the one I
    would suspect at that time if you aren't present doing anything.

    No, but it has given me a start from time to time .. only now the computer
    running Avast! has been switched to Grisoft AVG so it doesn't happen
    anymore.

    thats what I do...

    When I'm done using the computer, I turn it off. No problem with
    Hibernation, sleep or other issues.
