Expand icon in folder tree too small

When the icon for expanding a tree in the folder list was changed from the
plus sign to the arrow as it is now, the target is very small. I suggest
making it larger, many users will be confused when they think they hit it and
it doesn't reliably expand the tree (I was for a while, until I figured out
the visual pointer feedback, but I have to be very touchy to hit it!).

Re: Expand icon in folder tree too small

Use the Microsoft Beta Client you downloaded via the Feedback icon on your
desktop to report your suggestion to MS. It will not be read by them here.

Re: Expand icon in folder tree too small

If that is the case, why is the selection I used "Suggestion to Microsoft"
and the paragraph about voting for this suggestion? I took the other tool to
be more for bug reports.

Perhaps it would help if you answered this...in my "Feedback" icon on the
desktop there is no link to download anything, only phone numbers and links
for e-mail and chat support. Is this what you mean, or am I missing
something? Way back in the days of beta testing Win95, as I recall, there was
a more obvious path for suggestions/bug fixes (although I don't remember
well, it might have been newsgroups as well!).

Thanks,

--Andy

Re: Expand icon in folder tree too small

The first paragraph has the "sentiments" link (Tell us what you think about
Vista). This is the same link as is in the bottom paragraph on the GetReady
page:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvist...y/preview.mspx
This is a good place for suggestions as well as gripes about UAC and other
annoying features.

The second paragraph on the page called by the Feedback icon should have a
link for starting the downloads for the kind of bug reporting that requires
the collection of files for analysis by the product team that owns the
feature.

Re: Expand icon in folder tree too small

I forgot to provide the public link to reach the download if in fact your
Vista Feedback link does not have it:
http://windowsbeta.microsoft.com/vis...&build=0&sku=0

Re: Expand icon in folder tree too small

Hi Colin,

Curious...my feedback info has none of that. I feel cheated! :-) Thanks much
for the links, now I can do some serious reporting (and unfortunately I've
had quite a few experiences that need reporting!).

Cheers,

--Andy
