    Windows Mail - 2 questions

I have Windows Vista Home Premium on my laptop and have 2 questions, or to
be precise 1 question and 1 problem.

First the problem: I have sent one email to date which also had an
attachment. When I attempt to look at the email in the Sent box, it is
there and looks fine, showing the paper clip to indicate the attachment and
198KB in the size column. However, when you try to read it, either in the
preview pane or by opening it, the message

    "Message cannot be found
The contents of this message cannot be found.
    Windows Mail"

is displayed. First attempt and it is apparently lost. Is this a common
problem with Windows Mail or am I missing something?

Now the question: In Outlook Express I always had the contacts displayed
in the bottom left corner and could double click a contact and have a pre
addressed email open ready to type and send. Is there a way to display the
contacts like that in Windows Mail?

    Try the fix provided here:

Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a computer
    that is running Windows Vista
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941090

The article instructs you to download and install the update appropriate for
    your operating system, found here:

    Windows Vista, 32-bit versions:
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...5-A86F2B7E39F1

    Or,

    Windows Vista, 64-bit versions:
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...C-BE5ABE3F39B7

As to your Contacts question, no, you can't put the contacts list down in
    the left corner anymore...

But you can use a sidebar gadget (contacts) to do it...works fine.
