Uncontrolled Switching Between Windows

My computer starts uncommanded switching between windows after I have been
working for two or three hours with three or four windows working. The
switching appears to be in the alt/tab mode with the windows appearing and
jumping continually. I can't use any conventional method to correct the
problem accept a hard shut-down (hold the pwr button down). When I restart
everything comes up normal until the next uncommanded switching occurs.
Using Vista Home Premium.

Re: Uncontrolled Switching Between Windows

Have attempted doing a System Restore to an earlier point in time before
this issue started happening? Did you install any applications or third
party add on utilities that might be interfering with the System?

1. Try a different keyboard.
2. Try a different mouse, particularly if you have a wireless one.

If you have wireless keyboard/mouse, first try replacing the batteries.
If that doesn't help, then try a completely different devices - one
change at a time, testing after each change.

Re: Uncontrolled Switching Between Windows

I have a wireless mouse and a wireless presenter. I will try to eliminate
one or the other or both and see if it solves the problem. I don't know when
I'm going to have the problem so it may take a while to resolve.

Thanks for the helpfull suggestions.

Re: Uncontrolled Switching Between Windows

Have not installed any new applications.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will try to restore to an earlier date if the
problem persists.

Has anyone heard about Vista updates to address this issue?
