| | Trying to remove an old "documents and settings" folder. To make a long story short, I recently gave up on Vista with my family's main PC, (for the long story, see hxxp://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.windows.vista.general/browse_thread/thread/89cb5e53e3199a12/7d36116e65576d5d?lnk=st&q=my+vista+experience+crzzy1&rnum=1&hl=en#7d36116e65576d5d ) I have used a separate HD to put XP on, and now I cannot get rid of the old and now defunct Vista "documents and settings" folder that currently resides on my "D" drive. XP says I don't have permissions even in safe mode to delete this. It sees this as a protected folder from another OS. My question is, Could someone tell me what is the easiest way to remove this folder and reclaim my HD space? Thanks, Crzzy1 |

If you have XP Home this can only be done in safe mode. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308421 -- Kerry Brown Microsoft MVP - Shell/User http://www.vistahelp.ca |
