Readyboost - which 2GB SD card?

I have tried to run Ready boost from several SD cards without much luck. Does
anyone have any idea which SD cards will support Ready boost?

Re: Readyboost - which 2GB SD card?

I have successfully used the SanDisk Cruzer 2GB USB thumb drive. It is
designed for Ready boost. I don't think you can use SD cards for that.

You can use SD cards, or just about any type of flash memory, as long as it
is fast enough.

RE: Readyboost - which 2GB SD card?

The real trick is the drive has to be fast enough AND inspite of what you might
hear it needs to be 1 gig or better.... I use 1.86 gig of a 2 gig SanDisk
Micro on my 2350 processor Laptop.... works very well. Lappie has 2 gig
memory already and the speed increase as long as I use 1Gig+ is noticeable.

Re: Readyboost - which 2GB SD card?

I use a Sandisk Cruzer 2GB stick. I installed a USB card with 4 external and
1 internal ports. The 2GB stick sits in my desktop permanently. Works very
nicely. Obviously not exactly what you want for a laptop, but it would still
work!
