Vista - Can't save Favourites in IE7

I'm having problems saving favorites.

The favorites folder has been moved from the default placement to a folder
on another drive in the computer.

When I try to save a favorite an error is presented "Unable to create "site
name" Unspecified error"

The user has write permissions to the folder - and it is possible to create
new files in the favorites folder - you can drag tha link from IE to the
favorite folder via Windows Explorer, and the link will show in IE.

Someone know how to solve the problem?

I cannot get this web page to load (404 error) to view the answer. My favorites are also in the wrong place and I cannot access them nor can I add favorites to the now empty list. Can you reply here instead of linking? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Hi Julia,

It is a dead link for me to. You might check to see if your "C:\Users\(your username)\Favorites" is still set in it's default location. See:

Get this one! I've had relocated folders for the past month and have been able to save favorites for weeks. Suddenly in the past few days the "can't save favorites in IE7" problem appeared.
It appeared AFTER it was working! Checked permissions and locations on the Favorites folder and they are Ok. And I can't follow the link either.
