| | Unable To play Media Files Without Downloading Them First When on the internet I have found that I have to download the media file to my desktop to get it to play with WMP 11. I am running Vista Ultimate. When I click on the media I get the page "Internet Explorer is unable to access this website" blah blah blah. I have enable files to be played with WMP in Settings and in Default Programs Settings in Control Panel. I can only play the file if I downlaod it first. Why? Is there a fix? I see other users have a problem with this too. I dont want this thread to be full of arguments about Linux like a previous post. If you cant be a help please dont reply. I have no time to read through nonsense, I just want a fix to this problem. |

| | Re: Unable To play Media Files Without Downloading Them First You know there is a security setting in IE7 that will not allow a media file to play unless it uses in an external player. I believe that would mean you have to download the file instead of stream it. Poke around in Security>custom settings. -- A Professional Amateur...If anyone knew it all, none of would be here! | | Re: Unable To play Media Files Without Downloading Them First Often Windows can be fixed just by unchecking a function. Exiting and rebooting - go back and recheck same functions- exit again.
