| | System completed power-on self-test... Every time I boot my computer, I hear a voice that says "System completed power-on self-test. Computer now booting from operating system". Some people may appreciate a talking computer, I want it to shut the f**k up! How to turn it off? |

There will be an option in the BIOS to activate (and de-activate) spoken POST messages. Check the documentation for your motherboard and/or PC.
