| | Digital Certificates Is it safe to remove digital certificates that have expired? I have several such certificates in Intermediate Cert.Authorities, Trusted Root Cert. Authorities, and Untrusted Publishers. |

Unless you have a local app that -does- authenticate using the expired certs. (Or remote app for that matter... but then there'd be a problem with any app that authenticates with expired certs.) | | Re: Digital Certificates I got really courageous one day and removed all expired certificates and the consequences were so severe I had to reinstall the OS...perhaps I deleted a valid certificate (although I think I did it very methodically and correct) but the ramifications were severe. You would think it would not matter and they should be deleted automatically by the system itself.
