| Administrator | Re: Date and Time Try changing the time server to one that does not have a synchronizing error. See step 10 in this tutorial for how. Internet Time Synchronization If that does not help, then you might look at this tutorial for a solution. Internet Time Synchronization Update Interval Shawn |

You can search Google to find a NTP server close to where you live, to use instead. http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourc...e+servers+list If its losing time that fast, you might want to change the interval to every few hours, instead of the default (weekly?). You can use the Command Prompt to do this as I have done in the past, with Windows Server 2003, but I cannot find the page that showed me how to do that. This easier to use thing from Doug Knox should work in Vista, not sure though: http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_inet_time.htm The registry location in Vista, *may* be different, but if not, you could use this instead: http://www.tweakxp.com/article36948.aspx IIRC, you can change the interval in the Group Policy editor as well. ss. |

| Guest | RE: Date and Time Are you running McAfee? If so, that's the problem. Go to the McAfee advanced firewall settings, then go to "System Services" and check the box that says "Network Time Protocol Port 123". After that try synching the clock again. It may not work the first time or two that you try but eventually it will successfully syncronize. "inkd4life" wrote: Quote: > I'm having trouble with my clock on my taskbar. Its slow.
