| | Cannot activate vista I have bought vista one month ago. Since I did not satisfy with the performance of my computer, I have bought a cpu and mainboard today. Then I plugged the cpu, mainboard and vista. Every thing was fine during the installation. However, when the installation finished, it asked me to activate my vista. Of course I let the validation begun, but my vista wasn't activated finally. Today is Saturday, and Monday is holiday in my country. That means I can only get support until Tuesday. Originally I planned to play my computer game in my holiday. It's 5am and I still can't get my desktop work. Sigh. |

| | Re: Cannot activate vista What you need to do is to reset/reactivate your Windows Vista installation using the telephone activation method: You can get started with phone activation by typing "slui.exe 4" (w/o the quotes) in the Start Search box in the Start Menu and pressing Enter. The phone activation process takes about 6 minutes. "Franz" <Franz@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:52F5755E-C3B2-418E-B3EC-79942D50403E@xxxxxx I have bought vista one month ago. The link below will walk you through on how to fix that until you can call and get it activated. If you have another computer handy it will make it easier for you to follow the instructions, or print it out. http://content.zdnet.com/2346-12554_22-56073-1.html Restoring Vista functionality once in reduced functionality mode -Michael |
